Ralph H. Woodmansee – President and Founder of
Woodmansee Insurance Inc.
As a dedicated insurance professional, Ralph founded Woodmansee Insurance Inc. in 1960. He formerly served for twelve years on the board of the Independent Insurance Agents of Rhode Island. He also served our country as a member of the 143rd Rhode Island Air National Guard Unit. Active in the community, he drove a school bus for twelve years in the town of Exeter. Ralph was Founder of the Chariho Cowboys “Pop Warner” football team, Vice Chairman, for twelve years, of the Board of Directors for the Hope Valley / Wyoming Fire District, former Regional Director for the Volunteer Fireman Insurance Services and was a Rhode Island State Representative for two years. He has been playing in the South Kingstown men’s recreational softball league for over fifty years. Ralph makes his home in Richmond and is an active long time member of the Grange.
David Woodmansee, CIC – Treasurer
David started working in the agency mail room at age fourteen. After graduating from Bishop Hendricken High School, he received his Bachelors’ degree from Bryant College. David has been the Treasurer and office manager of the agency since 2000. He earned his CIC (Certified Insurance Councilor) industry designation and is the President-Elect of the Connecticut Young Insurance Professionals. David and his wife Robin, make their home in Richmond. Outside of work, he enjoys all types of sports. He is the Treasurer of the Chariho Cowboys football organization and coaches the Cowboys Pee Wee team in the Rhody Youth Football League.
Gloria Rhodes - Office Receptionist and Licensed Life Insurance Representative.
Gloria has been with the agency for 20 years. She answers the phones, is the office receptionist and handles licensing and administration duties. She is also a licensed Life insurance representative and services the existing life accounts as well as handling new client life sales and service. Gloria is the chairperson for the Hopkinton Democratic Town Committee. Born in Rhode Island, she and her husband Jared have one son. They make their home in Ashaway, RI. She enjoys reading, flower gardening and is an avid Red Sox fan.
Alice Saucier ACSR - Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative.
Alice has been in the insurance industry for 35 years. She has spent the last 20 years here with us. She has earned her ACSR (Accredited Customer Service Representative) industry designation in both personal lines and commercial lines. During her tenure, she describes herself as a “Jill of all trades.” Over the years she has been involved in personal lines, training, computers and bookkeeping. She mainly spends her time as a Customer Service Representative for the agencies commercial lines customers but occasionally still provides back up to our personal market customers. Alice and her husband Leo have two sons, two granddaughters, one grandson and one great grandson. Her personal interests include spending time with her family and her cat “Squeaks,” listening to oldies music of the 50’s and 60’s and motorcycling with her husband Leo.
Barbara “Bunny” Bates – Personal Lines
Customer Service Representative.
Bunny is our insurance matriarch with over 36 years of insurance agency experience. She has spent the last 10+ years here with us. She provides service to our personal lines customers. She and her husband Robert have two children, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Besides being an avid reader, she is very active in the Grange. Barbara is a Deacon in her church and former Deputy Town Clerk of Exeter, RI.
Susanne Quinn ACSR – Commercial Lines
Customer Service Representative.
Susanne is a commercial lines service representative and has been with our agency for the last fifteen years. She has over thirty year’s of insurance experience having previously worked for other agencies and a large national direct writer company. Susanne earned her ACSR (Accredited Customer Service Representative) insurance designation and is continuing her educational studies in a degree program at a local college. Her interests include reading, country line dancing, travel and gardening. She and her husband Dan have a daughter and one grandson.
Howard Drye – Personal Lines Customer Service Representative.
Howard is a Berklee College of Music graduate who also received a Masters Degree in Music Education from Rhode Island College. He previously worked in the music department of the Westerly School System. After working several years for one of the major national life insurance companies, he has spent the last 16 years working here at our agency servicing our personal lines customers. He continues to play saxophone and is the music director for his parish. Howard and his wife Robbie have a son and daughter and one granddaughter.
Lynn Palasciano – Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative.
After leaving the fabric industry, Lynn has spent the last 25 years with our agency. She is a commercial line customer service representative. She and her husband Anthony have two daughters and a granddaughter. She had been active in the PTO at local schools. Lynn is very involved with her church, serving as a Lector and has spent many years in their choir and fundraising activities. Her interests include entertaining, music and singing.
Sandy Chartier – Bookkeeping and Accounting.
Including both part and full time, Sandy has spent 16 years with our agency. She handles a large part of the bookkeeping and accounting records. She formerly worked in the hospitality industry at Richmond Country Club, but now calls insurance her main occupation. She and her husband Norm have three sons. Sandy has done volunteer work at the local schools. She remains an avid Red Sox fan in a household of Yankee fans. Her personal interests include singing, dancing and yoga.
Carol Richardson – Personal Lines Processing.
Carol has worked at our agency for 15 years. Prior to this she worked in the Day Care field. She handles the personal lines processing of new business, renewals and changes. She and her husband have two daughters and a son. They also have four granddaughters and three grandsons. In her time off, she enjoys reading, gardening, country line dancing, arts and crafts. She also cuts her own wood as a canvas for paintings.
Lorie (Edmiston) Dubee ACSR – Personal Lines
Customer Service Representative.
Lorie came to us three and a half years ago after many years as a bookkeeper for a local newspaper and marina. She earned her ACSR (Accredited Customer Service Representative) industry designation for personal lines. She and her husband Dennis have five sons and a daughter. Lorie is also known for her volunteer work at the Saint James’ and Saint Mary’s Community Food Pantry. She also enjoys reading, gardening, photography and boating.
Stephanie Skinner ACSR - Personal Lines
Customer Service Representative
After earning an Assiciates degree in Business Management
from the Community College of Rhode Island, Stephanie worked for a
bank as a Customer Service Rep. She next worked for another insurance
agency before coming to work for us six years ago. She earned her ACSR
designation (Accredited Customer Service Representative). She and her
husband Jim, have a son and a daughter. Besides spending time with her
family, she enjoys bowling, reading, poker, traveling and collecting
Disney memorabilia.
Robert “Bob” Holman – Personal Lines Producer.
Bob came to us a year and a half ago after 25 years in the manufacturing industry. He is responsible for personal lines policy production for the agency. He and his wife Linda make their home in Hopkinton. They have two daughters, three grandsons and seven granddaughters. Bob is the Financial Secretary for his church where he also sings in their choir. He stays active by bicycling, attending stock car races and enjoys antique and classic cars.
